Access Permits
Providing payment of the Member's subscription has been received, an ID Card and sealable plastic pouch will be available for collection from the Society's Office during normal working hours (08h00 to 16h00, Monday to Friday) from the middle of March each year.

You will only be granted access to the showgrounds if your Permit meets the following criteria:

  • An original ID Photograph - which clearly identifies the bearer - must be affixed to the card as indicated. No photocopies, hand drawn pictures or unclear prints will be accepted.
  • The pouch must be correctly and fully sealed.
  • Any alteration or evidence of ‘tampering' will invalidate the card.
  • ID Cards are only used to identify the bearer and are not transferable to third parties.
  • Failure to comply with the above can result in confiscation of the permit.

Should you so choose, we will, upon receipt of a written request and payment of R10.00 (but at the risk of the member) mail your membership card to you. Please note that should an ID Card be lost, a R90.00 (incl VAT) charge will be levied for replacement.

Should a member wish to invite a guest who is not a member to join them in the Members Dining Room, a Day Membership permit can be purchased from the Admin Office for R20. Please note: the guest will still be required to pay the applicable entrance fee at the gate to enter the Showgrounds.
